Aircare receives a training award at the Institute of Refrigeration annual dinner held at the County Thistle Hotel, Newcastle upon Tyne.

Louise Sharp Aircare’s General Manager (far right) received the award on behalf of Aircare and commented “Aircare has invested considerably with apprentice training, further education and professional development, and it is nice to receive recognition for all of the hard work”.

Justin Stonebridge MSOE, MIPlantE (Aircare’s Senior Engineer) announces the date for his wedding to fiancée Gwen.

Justin shall be “tying the knot” at the end of November 2014 and his stag night has been arranged in Newcastle two weeks prior to allow adequate “recovery time”.

Justin’s Best Man is friend and workmate John Cherry (Aircare’s Consultant Engineer).

All of the staff wish Justin and Gwen all the best for their big day and future together.

Congratulations to Kyle Stewart for successfully completing his natural gas training courses.

Kyle started his apprentice training with Aircare July 2012, he commenced his natural gas training with Lomax Gas training, and his Air Conditioning training with Northumberland College – now in his final year.

“Kyle has worked hard to achieve his initial Gas-Safe certification and should successfully complete his level 2 building services – air conditioning next year, the apprenticeship theory and hands on training provides a solid foundation for career development and for the future of engineering in general”

Congratulations to John McVay upon completion of his NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineering which was successfully completed during May this year.

John commenced his employment with Aircare March 2010 as an apprentice Service Technician and attended Ashington College for three years gaining his City & Guilds level 2 Building Services Engineering – Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. Aircare sponsored John for an additional two terms to gain his NVQ Level 3 Certificate.

The winter and spring brought a variety of interesting projects including –

1 – Wood processing factory, Aircare provided large industrial ventilation systems and specialist control room cooling equipment.

2 –Newcastle city centre multi-storey developments, Aircare has been awarded the FM contract for all services in these prestigious buildings including HVAC, M+E, power generation, water treatment and associated services, Aircare provides a resident engineer with 24 hour emergency call out and 4 hour response.

3 – Listed historical buildings, Aircare designed and installed heat pump heating and cooling systems without compromising this Victorian building.

4 – “Keeping the pilots warm”, Aircare designed and installed a multiple heat pump heating system at Durham’s Fishburn Aero club’s new building development; the system is ultra energy efficient and uses occupant sensors and rapid warm up to minimise energy use and maximise performance.

Aircare are now an approved dealer, supplier and installer of L&G HVAC equipment.

The L&G range includes air conditioning, heat pumps, heating, ventilation and heat recovery equipment for residential and commercial applications including the “Decor Art” range of indoor units that provide a concealed visual appearance.

L&G HVAC equipment is competitively priced, has the highest energy efficiency ratings and is available with a five year warranty.

Over the next several weeks all Aircare personnel shall be attending the L&G training centre for specific product and technical training.

This summer was a “late starter” and with the heat wave Aircare was awarded local and national contracts:

1 – National restaurant chain, Aircare provides a full HVAC maintenance and service contract with 24 hour emergency call out and 4 hour response.

2 – Residential developments, Aircare designed and installed multiple air source heat pump heating systems.

3 – Retail centres, Aircare designed and installed cooling, heating and ventilation systems.

4 – Offices and computer rooms, Aircare designed and installed heating, cooling and heat recovery systems.

4 – Industrial, Aircare installed large bore hole water pumps for ground water heat pump systems.

Most of the equipment designed and installed by Aircare during this summer had a minimum energy rating of “A+A”.

Dan Reed receives his BEng (Hons.) Building Services Engineering Degree at Northumbria University’s graduation ceremony on the 14 July 2013.
