Congratulations to Dan Reed our Project Director who was admitted as a Freeman of the City of London and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Fuellers last week at the Guild Hall, London. Dan has been a member of The Company of Fuellers for 1 year, the main aim of the Company is to foster the business of persons involved in providing energy for the home, industry, commerce and export. Working in the HVAC and Building Services industry energy usage reduction is a hot topic and is a must for new designs. Dan has attended many seminars and functions through his membership including attending the Houses of Parliament where he has actively discussed topics on energy costs and usage with the all-party parliamentary group on energy costs.

Congratulations to Kieron Conroy who was successful at a recent interview and started his apprenticeship with Aircare in March 2017. Kieron shall be commencing his 3-4 year apprenticeship and starting technical college later this year to achieve his BTEC building services engineering certificates.

Aircare is committed to training and career development and will provide Kieron with all of the help and assistance required to achieve his “professional engineer status” and personal goals.

Aircare has been awarded the contract for the design and installation of multiple clean rooms for an international drugs manufacturing company.

The clients requires ultra-clean temperature controlled environments for the manufacture and production of pharmaceutical products. Aircare has been appointed as the preferred supplier and main contractor, and will be providing all services including design, building works, HVAC, electrical works, project / HS management, testing, commissioning and handover.

The project is due to commence March 2017 with a completion around June 2017.

Everyone at Aircare wishes our customers, clients and friends “A Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year for 2017”.

We would also like to thank all of our clients and customers for their continued support throughout 2016 and for the friendly working relationships.

Our offices shall be closed from Friday afternoon the 23rd December 2016 and shall reopen Wednesday the 4th January 2017. Cover for FM and maintenance will continue as usual throughout the holidays with the out of hours contact numbers for emergencies.

“I just wanted to drop you an email and say your engineers have been over the last two days and have performed a great job. We lost some lighting for a while due to a cable problem, but they managed to fix that which was fantastic of them. And as always they’re a friendly bunch of guys which makes having them onsite even better.

Once again though, thanks for organising this in such short notice, we really appreciate it”

Congratulations to Louise Sharp (Aircare’s General Manager) and John Cherry (Aircare’s Consultant Engineer) who were married at Gretna Green on the 16th October 2016.

Louise was attended by her bridesmaids; Best Friend Angela and daughters Casey and Samantha.  John’s best man was best friend and workmate Justin Stonebridge (Aircare’s Senior Engineer).

All of the staff wish Louise and John all the best and a long happy future together.

Aircare are now an approved supplier and installer for Samsung air conditioning equipment.

The Samsung range includes air conditioning, heat pumps, heating, ventilation and heat recovery equipment for residential and light commercial applications including the “Turbo Jet” range of indoor units that provide a “modern art décor” appearance.

Samsung, a world leader in technology, has high energy efficiency ratings, a mobile app for remote control via the Galaxy range of phones, and is available with a five year warranty.

Over the next several weeks Aircare personnel shall be attending the Samsung design and service training centres for specific product and technical training.

Congratulations to Louise Sharp, Aircare’s General Manager, who has been accepted by the Institute of Refrigeration (IoR) as a full corporate member.  Louise has been on a career development programme, sponsored by Aircare, for the past few years and completed her studies and exams earlier this year.

The IoR is one of the UK’s oldest Institutions (dating back to 1899) and was founded for the science, practice and improvement of refrigeration engineering.  The IoR have a rigorous application process and full membership is granted to suitable professionals working in the Refrigeration and HVAC industry.

Aircare has been awarded the Facilities Management contract for a prestigious Newcastle city centre historic grade listed building.

This three year contract covers all of the building services including HVAC, lighting, fire alarms and sprinklers, domestic water services, and all electrical and mechanical services.

Aircare is providing a resident engineer one day per week and all of the building services management.

Process Chilled Water

Aircare was awarded the contract for the replacement of a process water chiller used for the manufacture of specialist electronic components.

The clients required an ultra-reliable chiller system with reduced energy use and minimum downtime.

The equipment Aircare selected was a Carrier Aqua-Snap water chiller with built-in hydronic module and water pump.  The old water chiller was removed and the new Carrier chiller installed within 12 hours during a weekend minimising the clients production downtime.
